The Houdini Wallet is a powerful encryption products built inside an Touch Screen MP3-Player. Houdini Wallet is impossible to intercept since the unit is offline and have no OS or memory to store any messages on. Houdini Wallet encrypts & converts written messages(Touch Screen with international keyboard) to a QR code which then can be sent trough any available app(Signal/Telegram/SMS/Whatsapp or even live video feed). This encrypted QR code can only be read by another Houdini Wallet(Trough inbuilt camera) which have been paired with the transmitting Houdini Wallet since they have exchanged encryption keys, unless the transmitting Houdini Wallet decide to use a password to read the messages.

What this means is that the Houdini Wallet gives the user a unique possibility to send encrypted, sensitive messages within encrypted communication apps.

The Houdini Wallet doesnt have any subscription or fees, no servers or network. It is a one time cost.

Houdini Smart & Houdini Pro – User Manual

Overview

Houdini isn’t a messaging app—it’s a tool for creating and reading encrypted QR codes. You generate a QR code on the device, then share the image through any communication platform you trust (WhatsApp®, Signal®, Threema®, Telegram®, etc.). The QR itself carries the encryption; the transport method does not.

1. Getting Started

Power On

  1. Turn on the device.

Sign In / Activate

  1. Tap “Sign.”
  2. Provide the serial ID to support.
  3. Enter the activation code you receive.

Optional (Pro Only) – Set a Password

  1. Choose a password for the device. This protects all QR‑code operations.

Wallet Setup (All Models)

  1. Set a PIN for the Houdini Wallet feature.

2. Using Houdini Smart

  1. Open the SMART screen.
  2. Long‑press the QR‑icon.
  3. Select “Create QR.”
  4. Scan a QR code received from someone else.
  5. When prompted, enter your password (the one you set earlier).

Tip: The QR image must be clear—no shadows, glare, or motion. Use steady lighting and hold the camera still.

3. Using Houdini Pro

  1. Open the PRO screen.
  2. Long‑press the QR‑icon.
  3. Choose “Enter your chosen password.”
  4. Add a contact (optional).
  5. To share a QR code with a specific contact, select “Create QR (selected contacts only).”
  6. When receiving a QR, scan it and enter your password to decrypt.

Reminder: Houdini Pro requires the password you set during activation.

4. Encrypted QR Systems

Type Description
Public Encrypted QR Secured with the sender’s chosen password. Anyone who knows that password can decrypt the QR.
Private Encrypted QR Uses a password known only to you and the intended recipient, providing an extra layer of privacy.

5. Sharing the QR Codes

Since Houdini only generates the encrypted image, you must pick a communication channel yourself. Recommended options include:

  • WhatsApp®
  • Signal®
  • Threema®
  • Telegram®
  • Any other trusted messenger

Make sure the QR image is transmitted without compression that could blur the pattern.

6. Battery & Charging Guidelines

  • Avoid fast chargers. They can degrade the battery over time.
  • Use a standard wall outlet or a regular power bank.

7. Quick Checklist

  •  Device powered on
  •  Serial ID sent to support & activation code entered
  •  Password set (Pro only)
  •  Wallet PIN configured
  •  QR image captured under good lighting, no shadows or reflections
  •  Shared via a trusted messenger
